Shipping Policy – Taras Biltong

At Taras Biltong, we want your biltong, droëwors, and South African favourites to arrive fresh, safe, and as quickly as possible. We currently ship across the UK only.

UK Mainland Orders (APC Courier)
For orders within the UK mainland, we use APC Courier for fast delivery of all orders, especially perishable items.

APC has a 2pm cut-off for same-day processing. Orders placed after 2pm will be shipped the following business day.
Orders placed over a weekend will only be processed on the following Tuesday.
Delivery usually takes 1–2 working days after processing.

Saturday delivery cannot be guaranteed, as this is limited to certain areas. If we can book Saturday delivery, we will do so — otherwise, your order will be processed the following Tuesday.

Orders are shipped Monday to Thursday to ensure freshness and avoid weekend delays.
You’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow your delivery.

Other UK Locations (Royal Mail)
For orders to non-mainland UK addresses (e.g., islands), we use Royal Mail.
Delivery times may vary depending on location, typically 2–5 working days.

Shipping Costs & Handling
All shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order.
We do not charge any handling fees — you only pay what we are charged by the courier company.

We do our best to keep shipping costs as low as possible while ensuring your items arrive safely and fresh.

Important Notes
All perishable items are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive fresh and ready to enjoy.
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, subject to the cut-offs above.

Please ensure your delivery address is correct — we cannot be responsible for delays due to incorrect addresses.

Any delays caused by couriers are out of our control, but we do our best to select reliable carriers.
